Right on Schedule — The Death of L. Ron Hubbard.
From 1980 on, L. Ron Hubbard was no longer seen in public. In January 1986 a stroke, a veto on the autopsy, a new will, a trust and a death followed one another within eight days. Right on schedule.
This book lays the record on the table: the coroner's file, the toxicology report, the sworn declarations, the court decisions and the church's own documents. It follows the trail back to 1972, when Hubbard's recorded lectures stop, and forward to the men who signed in his name after he was gone. Andreas M. B. Gross, a Class VIII auditor trained in the 1970s, draws his own conclusion in Part I and marks it as what it is: an inference, tested against everything that follows.
The second half turns to the property. The will of 1986 is said to carry the copyrights and trademarks that RTC and CST wield against independent Scientologists today. It could not. Hubbard had given the copyrights away decades earlier, in 1952, 1955 and 1958, in his own words and in print. The legal part is numbered for citation by lawyers and comes with a free source package: every document the book relies on, downloadable from ingag.de/sdk6-000.
No membership, no course fees, no creed. Just the record, and what it means for anyone who practises Scientology outside the church.
